ABOUT PKMS

Paul Kinder Middle School is committed to a partnership of school, home, and community that promotes responsible citizenship and life-long learning through problem solving with mutual cooperation and respect. This mission reflects the belief that all of our students can learn and be successful.

The positive character traits of generosity, self-discipline, bravery, cooperation, orderliness, and thrift/economy are emphasized through our district-wide curriculum which also provides opportunities for character education activities as well as community service projects. A wide variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities promote teamwork, service learning projects, and personal growth. In addition, students also have unique opportunities to be recognized for attendance, participation in activities, demonstration of a positive attitude, and academic achievement.

With the grizzly as our mascot and the school colors of purple, black and white, PKMS students and staff continue to proudly build traditions of excellence as we strive to "Be the Best" for this school year and beyond.

Paul Kinder Middle School provides a safe and orderly environment that inspires self-discipline, respect, good attendance and responsible citizenship. We believe open communication with parents is an important part of keeping families informed and involved in their children's education. Because middle school can be a time of tremendous change for our children, positive experiences and emotional support are very important. The Student Assistance Program, SOS, and Olweus Anti-Bullying program are in place to help any student who is struggling in any facet of life. Our peer mediation programs allow students a chance to resolve problems and helps to resolve student conflict.
